the simple pleasures of a winter morning …

Early morning sunshine on frosted fields

Pink clouds at sunrise

A host of birds fluttering around the feeders demanding breakfast

The first real frost where plants droop their leaves and the lawn looks sugar coated

Saved only by the plucky pansies by the front door

flowering when nothing else dares

  1. A light frost here this morning, but enough for scarf-n-gloves.

  2. Beautiful photos, no frost here in London yet, even though it’s been close to zero a couple of nights. Day temp is pretty nice, around 10 C. Have a great day!

  7. Winter does have such beauty, it transforms everything. I always think the winter stars are the best of all the seasons, and mist and snow so dramatically beautiful, if only the nights weren't so dark....sighs...
I loved those rosehips and the pink sky, gorgeous.xxx

  10. Your landscape photos are stunning, I just don't have the nack for that kind of capture.
