Yesterday wasn’t a good day for me - I didn’t feel as if I could function properly - today I felt a bit more upbeat - I spoke to my brother on the phone and we had a hilarious conversation about feeling ill and the stupid things we get up to in our lives and I felt much better after.
Not everything went to plan - I was frying bacon for breakfast and it spat at me and produced quite a burn on my hand which wasn’t good - Savlon to the rescue.
I was telling someone on Instagram about bookmarks that I have found inside second hand books - the picture above is all those that I have found - the most interesting are one from the Falklands and one a picture of the Titanic - I have quite a stash - including a postcard from Thailand showing a lady smoking a pipe.
This one is rather special - it is from an author whose book I had for Christmas - he takes all his photos with an old plate camera and chopped up his practice pictures to send out as bookmarks - and I managed to receive one - which is very kind considering the cost of postage these days.
The sun came out briefly and showed up these hellebores beautifully that have self seeded by the wildlife pond - no sign of any frogspawn sadly - I think because we have newts in this pond and the frogs have got wise to the fact that the newts like to feast on frogspawn.
Hope you're not wobbling anymore, Elaine. We have those days once and awhile!
