Wednesday Goings On

A foggy morning the hills beyond the garden disappeared into the murk. Hopeful that the sun would burn it off - which it did a little later. It was warm, which made a nice change, and there was no wind, which also made a nice change. After breakfast and a bath I stuck a wash load in then headed out into the garden and got stuck in. First I planted sweet peas in a pot outside the back door then I put climbing string all round an obelisk in the veg garden and planted some more then I put up a cane framework and planted some more and the last few I planted in the old water tank to climb up the trellis.  So that’s all the sweet peas planted. Went in for lunch then visited  a friend for our Wednesday catch up - I was telling her about something I’d watched on the tube it was a dark story about a Jekyll and Hyde type character which had deadly results but whether it was the way I was telling it I don’t know but somehow we both found it hilarious - it’s so good to have friends who can make each other laugh for no particular reason. Finished off back in the garden after a rain shower and planted my sweetheart cabbages by then I’d had enough went in and cooked dinner - bangers and mash with liver and onion gravy.  Watched part 2 of Shetland and so to bed.
